St. Patrick's day

Our morning started our with green pancakes, green milk, and of course Lucky charms for breakfast. Not sure if Carson or Avery really cared for the look and they ate with caution.

For lunch the kids ate green macaroni and cheese with green apple sauce on the side.

It just so happened that the kids had arts night on St. Patrick's day. This year Creekside focused on the art of dance. The kids had been practicing for months.

I had planned to make a nice St. Patty's day dinner but when I went to look for corned beef days before, they were sold out of it every where! So we decided to go out for dinner at Pace's instead.
After dinner we came home and had mint chocolate chip ice cream scooped onto green cones of course.
By the time this picture was taken, Avery had had it! The day was long and green.

Sneaky Leprechaun

Two days before St. Patrick's day a leprechaun decided to play some tricks on us. The first thing he did was turn our toilet water green and stole Carson's green crayons. The next day the little devil got into some paint and walked on my bathroom mirror!

Poor Carson almost passed out in fear. Silly boy.

We decided to set up a trap on St. Pats eve and try and catch this little trouble maker. Bay made a pot of gold and we hung it from a dowel and placed it under the lid of a shoe box. When the sneaky leprechaun grabbed the pot of gold, it pulled the dowel down and maked the lid close.

In order to get the leprechauns attention the kids made a trail of gold fish that lead from the stairs to the trap.

When the kids got up on the morning of St. Patrick's day they ran down to see if our trap had worked. Unfortunately the little bugger got away! But he did leave the kids some green and gold treats and of course some Lucky Charms. I think he felt bad for tricking us for two days.

Even though he probably felt bad for us, he decided to play a few last tricks. He tied the kids shoe laces together.
And he tied some rope from the fridge handles all the way to the pantry so we couldn't open the doors.
And yet again he played in some green paint and left some more footprints.

Finally!

Logan finally lost his first tooth. It had been wiggly for weeks and he would not let anyone try and pull it out. Finally when he had a sleepover at grandmas, she was able to pull it out. The tooth fairy came that night and left him three gold coin dollars, as he likes to call them. I can't wait to see his smile when he looses the other wiggly tooth right next to the one that is missing.

Princess party

I'm finally posting pictures of Avery's birthday party. As you all know Avery is in LOVE with princesses, especially Cinderella, aka "rella" It wasn't hard to figure out what theme to choose for her party.

As soon as Avery was out of the tub and put into her tutu she got to open her gifts from mom and dad. As soon as she saw them she couldn't help but run to them.

We got Avery a Rella set complete with the fairy godmother and carriage.

We also got her a new stroller for her babies. Dad accidentally stepped on her other stroller and broke it. So we just had to get her another one :)

I decided to make Avery a castle cake for her party. It took me forever looking at other castle cakes and coming up with my own. I choose things I liked from some of the cakes I saw and made one of my own. I used flat ice cream cones to build up the towers. Frosting those suckers took FOREVER! I was up til 1:30 in the morning finishing this baby. Let's just say it was hard for me to cut up my master piece.

This was the first time I had ever used fondant. I used purple to make some of the flowers, windows and the doors. I also used yellow fondant for the other flowers. I then piped green vines around the castle to add the perfect touch.
Happy Birthday who who, happy birthday who who, happy birthday dear Avery, happy birthday who who!! This is the way Avery sings the birthday song and so this is the way we sang it to her.
Opening gifts. After Avery opened skittles chapstick from aunt Kristy and uncle Ty Ty, she wasn't interested in opening any more gifts. It took some coaching to get her to open the rest of her gifts. This girl LOVES chapstick and did not want to put them down for anything.
Grandma got her an encyclopedia of princesses
Nana and Nano got her a princess piano and a princess hair kit complete with blow dryer, hair straightener and curling iron.
Happy Birthday Avery Kay!! I can't believe you are 2!

Happy Birthday little miss!

Two years ago today I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl!! I was so excited to finally have the chance to meet the little one who had kicked my insides for 9 months. The one who gave me heart burn and made me gain 20 lbs. With everything I had gone through, when I saw her It was love at first sight. She was perfect.

Here I am 9 months big :)

She had lots of dark hair that the nurses loved to play with. She would come back from the nursery everyday with a new do.

The other kids were super excited to meet their new little sister. Especially Bay. She had wanted a sister for a long time.

This has got to be one of my FAVORITE pictures of all time. Carson and Avery looking at each other. You can see how much he already loved her.

I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I have loved every minute of being a mother to our four wonderful children. I have truly been blessed.

Hang out

We have found our new Friday night hang out. Morgan and I went and tried out YoGoToGo a few months ago and have decided it would be a fun place to take our kids on Friday nights. The atmosphere is so fun and laid back. Perfect for kids.

When you first walk in you grab a cup and head over to the yogurt machines. You pick your flavor and fill it up as little or as much as you would like. Next, you get to pick your toppings over at the toppings counter. They have over 40 topping to choose from. My favorite toppings are waffle cone and boba. When you go to pay, they have you place your cups full of yum on a scale and they weigh them. You pay by how much they weigh.

Here is me with my boba. Yummy little things. What is boba you ask? Well they are little tapioca balls filled with fruit juice. So yum!!

Dentist

We took Bay, Logan and Carson in for their 6 month cleaning. As we checked in the receptionist asked how old Avery was. I told her she was almost two and she asked if I would like her to add Avery to the visit as well. Why not! So Avery had her first Dentist apt. She did extremely well. She didn't cry and even let them clean her teeth. I guess it helped that it was her lucky day and they had Cinderella playing on the TV.
All is well with the other kids, not a single cavity! Here is to another 6 months of no cavities!
