Third eye

My poor little Avery tripped over a shoe and took a header into the railing in the kitchen. At first the bump didn't look so bad, but after a min or two it started getting bigger and bigger! It got as big as a golf ball. When she hit the railing she cried for a sec, but then got really sleepy and clingy. It worried me so I called the doctor. I talked to a nurse who asked me a bunch of questions. She had me look for certain things to make sure Avery didn't have a concussion. I was told to keep Avery awake for 45 min and when she did go to sleep, to wake her every 30 min. Well she fell at 11:30 and I wouldn't let her go to sleep til 5:00! I was too worried. Luckily my dear friend Heidi was here to calm me and helped me take these pictures.
After 30 min Avery was back to running and being her self. I was so glad to see her back to normal.

I'm a little sleepy mom

End of preschool

This year I did a preschool with three other mothers in my neighborhood. It was a lot of fun. Not only did the kids learn a lot, but it was free! We each took a week. There was a letter, number, color and shape that the kids learned about each week. We had our classes on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 9:00-11:30
It worked out great!

This was the last day of preschool. It was held at my house. The kids got a bucket of cotton candy and a necklace that said Graduate. They are now ready for Kindergarten!

Dentist

When Morgan lost his job, we had to find a new dentist for the kids to see (due to the change of insurance) I have asked around and found the BEST dentist office EVER!! Not only are they wonderful with kids, but the office is seriously only 2 min away! The office is called Kaysville pediatric dental.

Here is what you see when you walk into the office. They have seaweed and large fish hanging from the ceiling. There is a large mural, rocks and coral all around. Makes you feel like you are in the ocean :) Logan's favorite was the video games.
(Hello people I don't know)

They have an awesome fish tank with Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Jacques and Bubbles swimming around. Big hit with Carson

Nemo
I took Carson to the dentist 6 months ago and he did horrible. He wouldn't even open his mouth to let the dentist count his teeth. This time however, he let them clean his teeth. First, they let him "play" with the tools. Then, they let him push the button that makes the chair go back. He was so excited. He had a cheesy smile on his face. I love that they had TV's every where with a fun movie to watch.

They had some cool shades the boys got to wear.
After the boys were done the dentist gave them a coin that they got to put in a machine. They both decided they wanted bouncy balls.

Not only did the boys leave with some cool goodies, they also said they wanted to go back. Too bad Carson will have to go back in June. He has three cavities! Yikes! I have never had to deal with cavities with my kids. Out of all of my kids, Carson is not the one that will do well! Thank heavens for laughing gas.

Trampoline fun

Carson and Logan love to jump on our tramp. Logan has gotten pretty good at doing cool tricks. His favorite trick is his front flip. He finally has mastered landing on his feet.

Mother's day

Mothers day is always a fun day! I love waking up to my kids on my bed with their home made gifts. I love the little extra help I get around the house and I love going to church. I love feeling appreciated. It's a nice pick me up!

Our day was so busy making the rounds to the ma's in our life, I forgot to have a picture taken of us in our church clothes. So I figured, why not take a picture with the kids in their pj's

Yeah, we are not going to get a better picture than this.
Here is the mother's day gift from my man. It's a calendar and magnet board. I also got a book called The Remarkable Soul of a Woman by Dieter Uchtdorf
You can move the numbers and add a new month

Moms b-day

My mom turned 52 on May 7th. Happy Birthday mom! I had her over for dinner and of course birthday cake! We had fajitas and a better than sex cake. For those of you who don't know what kind of cake this is, well I'm sorry!! Here is the scoop on the cake. You bake a chocolate cake. When it comes out of the oven you poke holes in it with a tooth pick. Next, you add a jar of caramel to the top then a can of sweetened condensed milk. After the cake has cooled you add a tub of whip cream to the top. It is seriously very tasty!!!

I didn't have 52 candles, so I just put one cute curly candle on the cake. My mom liked seeing only one instead of 52 anyway : )
Nano put a little bit of whip cream from the cake on my moms nose. I took a "bit" more and had her turn around for me to get it "off" and added just a little bit more to her face.

Love you mama!

Finally

Well after 5 months, Morgan finally got the call we have been waiting for!! Morgan will start his new job on Monday!! Yipee! I'm so excited that he found something he will enjoy. His new job is with a company called Granite Mill. They specialize in architectural wood work. They have been around for 103 years, something that was really appealing to us. Second, the job is an office position! No more hard labor! Morgan will be their estimator. I'm so glad he will be in an office with a desk and best of all, air conditioning! For 5 years he had to work in a shop with no air conditioning. They couldn't have one in the shop because of all the dust. Morgan was in a 100 degree room all summer, worst of all they had to wear pants. Another perk is instead of being at work at 5:00 am he gets to go in like a normal person and start at 8:00! Holy cow that is so weird. For the past 5 years Morgan has gotten up at 4:15 to be to work by 5:00. Now he gets to "sleep in" I'm kind of a little nervous about being a "single" stay at home mom again! I have had it really easy with Morgan being home all day. I could go to the store alone, pick up Bay from school with out having to load up the whole family, take a shower that I don't feel rushed in, only have to change half of Avery's poopy diapers, have adult conversations all day and lots of help around the house. Gosh, what am I going to do with out him here all day long?? I am so grateful that I have had this time with my husband. We have grown not only closer to each other, but also to our Heavenly Father. I know he has heard and answered our prayers. I have felt the love of our friends and neighbors. I have learned that I am on the Lords time and he will bless us when we need it most. As I look back on the last five months, I realize that I have been carried. I can recall only a few times where my faith was wavered. It's when things kept happening that was out of our control. For instance, our dishwasher broke (we needed a new one) in the same week we got a crack in our windshield and realized our car will need to be registered. In order to get it passed we will have to get a new windshield. But we got through it. We made it. This trial is over and I'm so grateful for the things I have learned and over came.

Silly ones

I love it when my kids play together, nicely that is. The last couple of days (knock on wood) have been great. The boys have played outside on the tramp with no fighting. Carson has even let Avery play in his fort that he likes to build out of chairs. I couldn't help but laugh when I heard all three of the kids playing under the table just laughing their heads off! I had to snap some pictures.

What the???

So after our trip to Idaho our car needed a car wash desperately. We didn't need anything great so we just drove through a car wash. This was Avery's first time in one and boy she hated it! She made the funniest faces, I just had to snap some pictures of her. I had to use Morgan's phone to snap the pics so they aren't the best, but it caught the moment.

Cabin fever

This past weekend we traveled to Idaho to stay in a friends cabin. The cabin was located just outside of Ashton. The cabin had 8 bed rooms and 4 bathrooms. We were able to fit 5 families comfortably with room to spare. Total guests: 27

Waiting for breakfast
Brigham, Logan, Ethan and Ollie
The kitchen had an ice machine that we all loved. It made the perfect square ice cubes, Morgan's favorite :)
Bailey, Hannah, Emma and Abby

On our first day at the cabin the weather was beautiful. It was cold but once the sun came out it wasn't too bad. We decided to walk to the lake and go canoeing. This was the first time Logan, Carson and Bay got to ride in a canoe. Bailey was a little scared at first, but once she saw that it was safe she hopped right in.
Our second day at the cabin wasn't as beautiful. In fact it snowed about 6 inches. We still decided to head up to mesa falls. It was so amazing! The waterfalls were bigger than I imagined.
Luckily there was plenty to do at the cabin.
I learned a new game called koob.
The kids played with play dough
Up in the loft there was a Wii and plenty of movies for the kids to watch.
I didn't get a picture of the basement but there was a play room and ping pong!
One of my favorite times of the night was after the kids went to bed lol The adults stayed up and played games and had some good laughs. It was a great way to spend our weekend.

Padres

Logan started t-ball last week. His team is the Padres. His new coach is amazing. To be honest he is hot : ) Something about him makes my heart skip a beat. It's a good thing he is taken, by me : )
Morgan is Logan's coach and he loves it! I over heard Morgan talking to Logan while he was getting him into his baseball gear. Morgan was saying "Logan, I have waited my whole life for this" Logan replied, "dad, I have too" I love my boys!
