Princesses and tears

We had a fun filled Saturday! First, we went to an Easter eggtravaganza at Morgan's school. The kids played games, made a craft, did some service and got to participate in a Easter egg hunt. And guess who made an appearance?
The bunny himself.
Avery was a bit unsure but didn't cry.

Next, Avery and I went to a princess themed fundraiser in Logan. One of my neighbors invited us to go with her and her princess Atty. We got to have a little girl time
It was a lot of fun, but Avery was a bit, how do I say this......... ORNERY!
She had been sick on Friday throwing up and had a fever. I was worried that she wasn't going to be better for our fun filled Saturday. She woke up feeling fine, but man she was a bear. Despite her sassiness, she still played princess games, and had a good time.

Princess walk

When Avery saw Rella all she wanted to do was be by her. She would spot her across the room and run to her. By the end of the fundraiser Rella knew Avery by name :) I had to apologize that we had been stalking her for hours.
As you can see as much fun as Avery was having, she never once smiled! When she saw rella she would talk to her and blow her kisses but she would not crack a smile! Turd.

Here is Avery as a beautiful crying princess.

Mrs. Pots. Again what a face.

At the end of the party they had a princess walk. I wasn't ready to take a pic of Avery walking down with a Princess because as soon as it was almost her time to take a princesses hand, she ran up and grabbed the hand of a princess despite the fact that her hands were full. So I got the back side of the walking.
At the end of the runway they got a balloon.
Here is Atty and Avery. Avery would not wear her crown or sash. We even got her face painted just for her to wipe it off as soon as it was finished.
Beautiful princesses
We plan on doing this again next year. Hopefully Avery will be in a better mood :)

Freaky Friday

Baily and I had a fun time at our Freaky Friday girls night. Since Bay turned 8 she is now in Activity days. This was our first mommy daughter activity we got to do together since she has been in.

The theme was
Freaky Friday - Soundtrack

You can't really see but I'm wearing leggings. Bays favorite thing to wear. Can't go wrong with some silly bands and a homemade necklace.
Bay wore my favorite vest and some of my jewelry. I gave her one of my purses to use and let her hold my cell phone. She loved it. Umm Bay, don't get used to it :)

If you haven't seen Freaky Friday it's about a mother and daughter who switch bodies when they wished to switch life's while they were eating Chinese food. So guess what we had for dinner that night? Yup, Chinese food.
We played some games and I found out that Bay thinks 30 is old lol
Bay got to give me a do
and paint my finger nails.

I had a really fun night with my little mini me. I'm glad we had a chance to be together with out the guys. We need to do girly things more often.

Small town fun

Over spring break we decided to go down to Lava Hot Springs for a few days. Can I just say I have never been in a such a small town before? This made Ephraim seem so big!
I found this cute little hotel called the Alpaca Inn. It was perfect.

The kids were super excited to be staying in a hotel. The last time we stayed in one together as a family was when Logan was 18 months old when we went to Disneyland.

Avery informed us that this was her bed :)

This is where the boys would veg

The springs were so much fun. After we got the kids used to how hot the water was they became little fish.
When we were there it was a nice 40 degrees. It was weird to think that we were swimming outside in the winter. As long as we were in the pools we were fine, but as soon as you got out it was cold! Luckily the sidewalks are heated so our feet stayed warm. We even went swimming one night when it was only 20 degrees. That night the steam made it feel like you were in a sauna. Felt so nice!
The springs have five different pools that have different temps. The one farthest away from the spring was the coolest at 102 degrees. We spent most of our time in there. Logan and I went into the pool just above this one and it was HOT. We liked in because the bottom of the pool was sand. Nice beach feel. We could only stay in that pool for about ten min at a time.

When I picture laying out it's not with a towel in 40 degree weather.
I tried to get a picture of the snow on the mountains but the fence wouldn't move :)
We ate at some fun little ma and pa restaurants. Some were yum and one that was not so yum. I wont mention the name on here, but if you do go down to Lava ask me the name. I'll save some money.
This one had the yummiest veggie burger I have ever tasted!
I love the atmosphere in this little restaurant. It had a 50's feel. Loved the idea to put records on the ceiling.
Look how small this library is. Everything down there was old school.
Walking the town
We went to the Idaho Historical Museum. They had some pretty interesting things in there. It was an old museum and when we walked in the kids couldn't help but say how old it smelled inside.
We had a fun little getaway. It's nice to get out now and then, even if it is in a small town.
