Little Green

It's never fun having a sick kid. Yesterday Carson threw up at his Nana's house. We didn't think much of it because he drank quite a bit of root beer :) Well this morning he woke up crying and wanted me to carry him down stairs to get a drink. So I gave him a big glass of milk. BIG mistake! He then threw up curdled milk all over my couch. YUCKY! Luckily, I got a little green machine for my birthday. It did a great job with not only with the stain, but with the smell. Thank goodness for that amazing little machine!

Finally!!

I HAD to buy this when I saw it!! Avery hasn't been big enough to wear it until this past Sunday. Sorry the pictures are not so good, but Avery can't stand still and has to walk towards me when she sees my camera.

I loved the pink belt and the dark denim dress. I swear this girl dresses better than me.

Mr. Sock Monkey

I have seen these cute sock monkey dolls at Targert for a while now. Every time Avery sees them she gets so excited. I have wanted to buy her one but they are 20 bucks! Lucky for me I went to the D.I. looking for a helmet and saw this little guy. He was new and was only a dollar!!!!!! Yes folks I'm lucky!
Here is miss Avery with her new love

She loves to drag him every where and makes monkey noises when she sees him.

Crafts

I have spent some time, a lot of time, looking at craft blogs! I love to "create" and I have come to realize that looking for ideas is just as much fun. My list of things to make keeps getting bigger and bigger. I go to one site and then it links me to another, and then another, and another! It's never ending :) It's wonderful LOL This month I have been trying to get some ideas on St Patrick's day crafts, but have had no luck he he. So I'm going to have to get my creative juices flowing this week. I'll have to post some pictures of my creations when I finish them. So far I have made my traditional holiday themed plate. Here it is.

I found this plate at my favorite place to shop, the D.I. I used some green vinyl and cut out the word Luck with my good friend the cricut, and added it to the plate. It looked really plain with just the word luck, but I didn't have a shamrock shape on my cricut. So I drew one on the vinyl and cut it out with scissors. Can you see the cute glitter covered shamrocks? So cute! I found these cuties at Hobby Lobby along with the green foam beads and "garnish" Fun fun.

Happy Valentine's day!!

Today was Avery's first Valentine's day! So of course I had to have her wear her Valentine's outfit to church. It was so cute! This was the only picture she would let me take of just her. Now that she can walk she can't sit still. She kept walking towards the camera.

When we got home from church one of our good friends had come and put hearts on our door and left some fun treats. Thanks Herren's!
Today in YW's I got to spot light myself. So of course that meant I had to give them a treat. So since it was Valentine's day, I made these little cuties.
I made popcorn balls, wrapped them in foil (to make them look like a Hersey's kiss) and added a little I love you tag. I think the liked them :)

Just kidding

We went to Boondocks yesterday for the first time. They just built a new one right by our house. We picked up the kids from my moms house and told them we had a surprise for them. The whole way home Bailey tried to guess where we were going. When we got to Boondocks the kids got excited and started to scream, "We are going to Boondocks!!" Before we drove right into the parking lot Morgan drove past it and said, nope, that's not where we are going. The kids got all disappointed until he made a quick U-turn and drove into the parking lot with a big, JUST KIDDING! The kids started to laugh.
We had a fun time and ended up with 411 tickets, thanks to Morgan hitting the jackpot! The kids each got 125 tickets.

My basketball star

Jackpot!
Avery was a little scared riding the merry go round.

This game was a fun one. The kids had to put on these big arms to hit the bad guys.

Happy 3rd Birthday Carson!

Happy 3rd birthday Carson!!!! For a month Carson has talked about having his birthday party. I would catch him singing happy birthday to his self and would ask everyday when his toy story party would happen. Finally the day had come!!! He was so excited. We had a extended family party for him on Saturday. I made a cake the night before that looked like Andy's bed with Woody, Buzz and Jessie laying on a pillow. I used a rice krispy treat as the pillow and covered it with frosting. I wanted to have a head board and foot board and tried making them out of gingerbread. I drew a template and traced and cut them out on the dough. When I took them out of the oven it was one big blob! I was so mad!! So I had to improvise and cut the head board and foot board out of thick paper. It work out just fine. When Carson woke up Saturday morning I showed him his cake that was in the fridge. He freaked out! I have never heard him stumble over his words so bad before. He had so much going through his head that what he was trying to say couldn't come out fast enough. He opened the fridge to look at his cake all morning till his party. It's a good thing I had the party start at 11:00 in the morning! It was hard trying to come up with things for a party they made nothing for, so I had to get creative. I had the kids make galaxies to go with Buzz. I had the kids put half water and half oil in a water bottle with some food coloring and small star confetti. When the shook them up, the oil wouldn't mix with the water. They loved it! Another game we played was pin the star (badge) on woody's shirt. Of course I had to make this up myself. I printed off a picture of Woody from a website that had coloring pages. I took the image over to yes printing and had them blow it up 200% Then I colored it and had the kids "pin" the badge on Woody. And what would a toy story party be with out a Woody pinata!? I found this guy at zurchers. It was the LAST one! I was so happy to find it. I bought it about two weeks before Carson's birthday and it was so hard to keep him from dragging it around the house lol After the party I handed out goodie bags filled with toy story fruit snacks, army men and slinky dogs! What a fun party! I still can't believe Carson is three!

Carson got a Toy Story scooter from Nana and Nano! He was so excited, as you can tell by the smile on his face!
