Logan Temple

I was lucky to have had the opportunity to go to the Logan Temple with the youth in my ward. My mom took the kids over night so Morgan could go with us. It has been a day that we have been looking forward to. Morgan was able to do my brothers Temple work. It was such a neat experience. The spirit was so strong that day. I couldn't help but cry. I couldn't hold back the tears. It was incredible.

We took the Tracker down to Logan with the top down. Here is a picture of us with our hair blowing in the wind.

Drinking fountain?

We went to a water pad in Ogden. Little miss Avery loved the water. This is where she stayed and played for about an hour. She kept bending down to take a drink.

Activity days

The activity day girls came over and gave Bay's room a "heart attack" They tapped hearts that had cute messages written on them to her wall. When they called to see if they could come I was shocked. Is my first born almost ready for activity days! Where has the time gone?? This is what Bay found when she came home.

Mini pizzas

We made some mini pizzas for lunch the other day. The kids got a kick out of it. I've decided to let them make something fun for lunch once a week.

I peed on my hands

Today was not a happy day for Carson and I. For weeks I have been dreading having to take Carson back to the dentist to get some cavities filled. He is the only one of the kids to ever have a cavity. I didn't know what to expect. Let's just say it went as bad as I imagined. Out of all of the kids to have a cavity, Carson was not the one to have it happen to. He hates the dentist. He screamed and cried and wouldn't let them keep the laughing gas mask on his face. So they had to give him an oral sedative. It totally made him so loopy!! It was funny! He would see things and say some pretty funny things. My fav was, "look, I peed on my hands" Another time he told me he really liked the doctors house and how the doors were moving up and down. Poor kid. After about an hour and a half later, we were all finished. They wouldn't let us leave until Carson was able to walk. Which his first attempt was not so good. They had him walk to a basket of toys. He didn't even make it four steps before he fell over. He did get his toy. It was a smiley face ball that he named Morgan LOL When we were about to leave, the dentist told me that I might have some trouble with his anger on the way home. I guess when the sedative wears off, kids get angry. Well since we live so close to the dentist office, it didn't happen until we got home. And boy was it bad! He tried to throw a tantrum but couldn't help but run into walls. I felt so bad for him. The worst part is is that they were only able to get ONE filling done today!!! So now I have to go back in July to get the other two filled! I'm so not excited. This really stinks!

4th of July crafts

I love to craft when there is a holiday to decorate for. Here are a few things I have been working on.
I love hair bows!!
Perfect for the 4th of July parade!

Here is my plate for the month of July. I took a bunch of Americana fabric that was given to me and cut them into squares. Then I mod podged them onto a gold plate I found at the D.I
Then I cut apart a star to make it lay flat in the middle of the plate.
The candle holder has rolled up pieces of scrapbook paper in it. I was given some cute black stars that I am going to spray paint white, and add it to the candle holder.

Crafts

I've been in a real crafty mood these days. I have been asked to come up with some crafts for girls camp! YAY! I thought we could make some bows, necklaces, and rings. Lots of girly stuff :) I'm always on the look out for something fun to make, so I had these ideas just waiting to be made. I found the button ring idea on somedaycrafts. I also found a really cool idea on how to make washer necklaces. I'll post pics of the finished product soon.

I love to wear homemade flowers in my hair. Yes Melissa, it's a Utah thing lol

I made this fun menu planner out of a picture frame I purchased at Wal-mart. I took the frame apart, added the burlap to the card board, printed out the weekday initials off of a blog (can't remember the blog), and hot glued the letters M E N U to the burlap. Now I can write on the glass with a dry erase marker. It wipes off really easy so I can change out the menu each week.

schools out for the summer!

School is out for summer!! Although, if you were to look outside today, you wouldn't think it's June. It has been raining and very windy the last few days. It's a good thing we had a chance to be outside before this weather hit. A friend of mine who lives near by, just became the owner of two ponies! The kids wanted to go check them out so we took a little walk down to visit them.

The kids couldn't wait for the day that I said YES to a water day!

I didn't want to spend 40 bucks on a water table so I improvised. I found this tote at the D.I for 2 dollars, and bought some sand toys for a buck. Whalah, a water table that Avery loves. She played at the water table for an hour and a fifteen minutes.
What would a nice summer day be without a picnic?

LaGoOn

I didn't think we were going to be able to go to Lagoon this year. It is 43 bucks a ticket these days!! Luckily for us a neighbor gave us a pass good for up to 8 people for only 10 bucks a person!! I was so happy! I had my friend Dana watch Avery and I took the three other kids, my mother in law and her two boys. It was a lot of fun. Carson LOVED it! He rode all the rides that he was able to. One of the rides the kids went on (no lie) about 6 times, was the terror ride. Carson wasn't scared at all. While some other kids his age were screaming to get out of line, Carson would cry if the other 4 kids went before him. He wanted to get on so bad. Lagoon wasn't busy at all on Wed. We rode the rattlesnake rapids twice in a row. No wait. The log flume was the best, we didn't even have to get out of the "log", the guy just let us stay in and go again. I have to admit, my favorite ride is the Odysea. It's a little kid ride but it is so fun!! It's like the Dumbo ride at Disneyland, but you get wet! Dolphins and sharks squirt ya and you can control when you go up and down. Carson and I never have laughed so hard together in our life! It was a super fun day!

pancakes

I thought it would be fun to use a condiment bottle to make silly shapes with pancake batter. Here is some of the things I made the kids. They loved it!!

Let's just say they had a lot to eat this morning.

Honorary Smore's

We had planned on our good friends the Patton's coming to visit from Vegas over Memorial day weekend. Unfortunately their entire family came down with the flu! I felt so bad for them! We had quite the fun planned. Melissa and I were both really bummed out we didn't get to see each other. I hope we get to soon!
We had planned on having smore's with the Patton's while they were here so we figured we would still have a fire and eat a few smore's for them :)

While we were out eating smore's Carson was doing this. Sleepy head.

BBQ

After we went to visit Joes grave we went back to my moms house for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun!! Nano filled up a little pool for the kids to play in. They loved it. It was the first swim of "summer"

What's a BBQ with out some watermellon and strawberries?

My aunt Gaylene, cousin Cody and grandma also came to grub. It was nice to get a chance to catch up with them. It was such a nice and peaceful day!

Visiting the ones we lost

Memorial day was a busy day for us. We started the day off by going down to Sandy to visit Kent's grave. While we were there Bailey and Jace played some games and Morgan and I talked with Jill. It was nice to see all the flowers at the cemetery. Made it seem so peaceful.

Avery sat on bumpas head stone almost the entire time we were there. What a sweet baby girl!! Jackson and Logan are sitting on Grandma greats head stone.

Next we went to Bountiful to visit my brothers grave. This is the only time of year that we take real flowers to Joes grave. The deer love to eat the real flowers!
My aunt Gaylene and cousin Cody came with us to visit Joes grave. It was so nice to visit with them.

Adam's Canyon

We decided to go on a hike up Adam's canyon over this long weekend. It took us about 3 hours to hike 3 and a half miles. We did stop and eat lunch and stayed at the water fall for a few. It was a really fun experience. Carson did so good! Avery didn't even cry and Bay and Logan never complained. We definitely got a lot of "wow, your family is amazing" from other hikers. I think we are pretty amazing!
