Since Bay has a summer birthday (Aug 1st) she was given the birthday basket first at school. She was asked to put things in the basket that will tell the kids a little bit about herself. Here are the things she picked to put in the basket:
* a picture of her family
* a baseball
* a pink bracelet because her favorite color is pink
* plastic dance shoes-she loves to dance
* a fur-real dog-she wants to be a vet
* a wooden watermelon- she loves to eat it!
* a cut out of a piece of bacon
*a leash-she just got a new puppy
* a picture of her in choral collection-she loves to sing
* the book called Diary of a Whimpy Kid-she loves to read
* a wooden Christmas tree-her favorite holiday is Christmas
* homemade hair bows-she loves to make them with her mom
* a card that shows a little girl being baptized- she was just baptized
* a plastic crab to show she has two pet hermit crabs
With it being her special day at school, she took a treat. Here is what I made for her class
First you dip rod pretzels in chocolate. I added food coloring to white chocolate to make different colored "crayons"
Then I printed off these labels from roommom101@blogspot.com
Then I taped them around the pretzels and put then had Bay take her treats in a pencil box. The teacher said the kids loved them!

Summer is over
It's school time again! Summer is over and I have mixed feelings about it. I loved not having to rush in the mornings but I love having a schedule. I think in reality, the kids like having one too. This year I will have two in school!!! hallelujah!! Bay is 3rd grade this year. I can't believe it. Logan is starting kindergarten and is so ready to be in school. It's a tease for kindergarten kids. They go for an hour on the first day of school, and then don't go back for another week. (They test this week) Poor Logan asks me everyday when he will be going back. Today is his kindergarten testing and he is so excited to be going to the school again.

What a helper
Avery loves to "help" me fold laundry. I couldn't help but snap some of these shots of her in action.

Mr. pig

The goats were very happy to see us. They would poke their heads out of the gate and even jump up just to have someone pet them.

Face to face with a goat. When I told Avery the goat wanted to give her a kiss she puckered up and said, muwah!

St. George
We got to go to St. George over the weekend to visit some old friends, the Bates. I have known Jill for fifteen years. We go back to the good old young women days when we would get into trouble together. LOL (nothing major)
The Bates sure showed us a good time. On Saturday we went to a fun little place called Jumping Jacks. It is a bounce house play land. The kids loved it! The adults had some fun too :)
Carson having a ball.
Here are the kids sitting inside of Sponge Bob Square Pants mouth. My kids had a great time playing with Raquel and Reichlin.

Okay so yet again Avery was scared. We thought she would love it. Nope. She cried and cried to get out!

We also went to the Washington county aquatic center and played in the pool. It had a lazy river, slides, a play land, and a splash pad. We spend hours there.
Here is Avery in one of the jumpers they had in kiddie area. What a great idea.
After our long day we had a BBQ and the kids went to sleep early. Then the adults ate some yummy ice cream and had some good laughs. We had a great time and are very thankful for the Bates generosity and willingness to share their home with us. I can't wait to see them again!Posted by Unknown at 6:32 PM 2 comments
LaGoOn
It's that time again! Free Lagoon day! Every year Luis has his work party at Lagoon. He gets free tickets for our entire family! This year the kids were able to ride the big rides. Logan rode the white roller coaster and the fly. He isn't afraid of anything. He wasn't quiet tall enough to ride the white roller coaster, but luckily the gal working let him slide. When we went to Disneyland three years ago, Logan rode the Tower of Terror. He was only three! Bailey on the other hand had to be talked into going on the wild mouse and the roller coaster. She can ride almost all of the rides but is to scared.
Avery hated the rides. The only one she liked was Odysea. (that's my fav too) Here she is trying to get out :) poor girl
Caron is pretty brave also. His favorite ride is the dinosaur drop. He says it tickles his tummy. You can hear him laughing and you can help but laugh with him.

Baptism
The day finally came! Bailey was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her dad has never been so proud. It was a great day. We had a ton of people who love our family come and be a part of this wonderful event!
Uncle Kody and Amanda (& baby)
Aunt Kristy and Tyler
Affleck's
Bray's
Bailey's great grandma gave Bay her very own set of scriptures. Bay hasn't stopped reading them since she opened them. I hope it is something she will continue to love to do.
