We got an awesome deal on some passes to go jump at Get Air. This place is one GIANT trampoline!   This was our first time going and we had a blast!

Hello Avery

It was fun to jump into the pits of foam. It was even more fun to watch the kids try and get out of the pits.

We played dogeball and raced up and down the mats. It was a work out I tell ya. Let's just say the kids slept very well that night.
(At Get Air you pay by the hour. We only did one hour and that was plenty of time)

I LOVE watching my boys play ball!

This year was Carson's first year playing. He played t-ball through Layton City. His team was the Rangers. Not sure if Carson liked playing t-ball. He wants to play coach pitch so bad. There were even some game days that he just didn't want to go and play. Hopefully next year he will enjoy the season a lot better.

As for Logan. He LOVES LOVES LOVES playing ball. He would have an hour practice before his game, then he would play for an hour, and then when we would get into the car to go home, he would ask if he could go to the park and practice some more. He can't get enough of the game.

Logan played first base all year and was first at bat at every game. His hard work and love for the game shows. He works very hard at it.

This year Logan was invited to try out for All Stars!! Only two kids from Logan's team were selected. I'm so proud of him! 

 The day of tryouts was a long day. There were 100 kids trying out for 4 teams. I wish that Logan could have shown how good he plays. They only had 5 pitches, 3 pop flies, and 5 grounders to show their stuff all within 3 min time. Not much time I say. I also learned a terrible thing about kids sports. You need to have money and you need to know someone to get on All Stars. And that is all I'm going to say about that :)
I was so proud of Logan. His tryout was amazing and he is an awesome baseball player!! He is counting down the days for next season!!

Fourth of Julio!

 Happy fourth of July!!

 

 

We started out our morning going to the Kaysville parade. This year I had to go solo because Morgan had to work. Not sure I would do that again.

 

After some little fireworks at home, we headed out to Layton High school for the big ones.
Morgan was able to join us for the fireworks. Thank goodness.  

Braces

We have been told for years that due to how close Bailey's teeth are she would need to have braces put on sooner rather than later.
One day Morgan was browsing groupons and found a deal we could not refuse. It was a coupon that we bought for $50, but it was 1,000 off of a set of braces at Feller Orthodontics.!! Little did we know but Morgan's cousin works  there! We love going to see her.

This place is awesome! It's decorated in a beach theme. There is a game room with wiis and an xbox. The boys love it. After every apt we get a cookie and a drink. Everyone loves that. And the younger kids get to go on a treasure hunt!

Here is Morgan's lovey cousin! She did a great job putting on Bay's braces. As of April, Bay will be in ortho gear for 36 months! Once she has had the first set on and all of her teeth fall out, she will then have to wear a retainer for about a year. Then, after all her grownup teeth are in she will get her final set. My word!

At every check up Bay can earn up to seven beach bucks to spend at the beach store. I'm not kidding when I say it's a store! They have ipods, gift cards, video games, toys and even a video camera up for grabs. It's crazy!

When Bay started treatment she received a Beach Bucks Wallet.She can earn Beach Bucks by:
Coming on time to her appointment
Having Clean Teeth
Having nothing loose or broken
If she wears her Feller Orthodontics T-Shirt to her appointment and if she
Refers a family member or friend
So far she is racking up the beach bucks.

I can't believe that my baby has braces and that she is almost 10! Where has the time gone?

Easter

 This will be our fourth year as a neighborhood to have our yearly night Easter egg hunt. This year I wanted to try something new. I put glow sticks inside the eggs so they would glow. The kids LOVED it. I might have to do this every year.

 We went to Barnes park for their annual egg hunt. As usual the kids made out on the candy!

On Easter morning after we open the "tomb" the kids went to find their Easter baskets

Every year the silly bunny hides the kids Easter baskets.

 For Eater breakfast I made bunny cinnamon rolls. YUMMO!

We hid the eggs in the backyard til they were so smashed we couldn't hide them any more.

Bye bye tonsils

Right after we got home from Hawaii, little miss Avery had to have her tonsils removed. (The suckers were so big it caused her to have sleep apnea) Talk about jumping right back into "life" after a 9 day vacation in paradise.

We had to be up at the Mckay Dee Surgical Center first thing in the morning on the 23rd of March.  I was glad that we had the first appointment of the day being that Avery had to stay liquid and food free for 24 hours.

Off to surgery she goes in a wagon. Good thing they took her this way or she would have gone off screaming in the doctors arms and it would have killed me inside.

 

 

We had to stay a bit longer than normal because Avery had a hard time keeping her oxygen levels up. We had to keep an oxygen mask on her. I was surprised that she kept it on and would even ask for it when we would test to see if she could go without it.

 

After her surgery Avery was quite the feisty one! As soon as she woke up she asked where her princess slipper was. She was going to do what ever it took to get it back on her foot. So she screamed. It hurt me to hear her yell. Her poor throat.

 After a few hours we were able to go home. Here is Avery sound asleep holding her stuffed monkey the doctor gave her to hold during her surgery.

 

 And here they are. The big kahunas. Our doctor took a picture of these beauties for us. Carson said they look like chicken nuggets. Thus why I have not eaten any nuggets in months. YUCK!

 

When we got home Avery's "toddy" come over for a visit. He brought her some of her favorite things. Balloons, chalk and bubbles.

 

It took a while before Avery would eat anything. We tried yogurt and popsicles. She was so sleepy I found her asleep with a popsicle on her face. Sad.

 

 Another sleepy moment. Poor girl.

 

For two days after her surgery, Avery refused to take her lortab. I tried EVERYTHING. You name it, I tried it. It was so hard because the hours Avery needed to take her lortab, were at the times Morgan had to be at work. (of course) Finally, one day she decided to take it for dad while I was gone. As much as I was happy she was finally taking her meds, I couldn't believe she took it for him without a fight after all the times I had to force it down her!
After day 12 Avery finally had her normal voice back. No more chipmunk voice and she didn't need her meds any more.  After losing 8 lbs she was able to eat what she wanted again. I was so happy to have my bay girl back!
