one fish, two fish, three fish

This summer my kids finally got to take swim lessons. There is this wonderful gal in our ward who teaches swim lessons at her mothers pool. The kids each got a 30 min one on one lesson for a week! It was so awesome! I was a bit nervous for Carson. He hates water and is most comfortable sitting on the side of the pool, or being held in the water. I could never get him to put his head under the water. With Stephanie, he was blowing bubbles under the water, floating on his back, and even diving for rings!

One of the requirements to pass swim lesson was to jump off the diving board. To my surprise, Bay did it! She then kept jumping off over and over again! I couldn't believe it!
Bailey went from a level 1 to a 6 in three days. I love one on one swim lessons.

Logan had a very hard time jumping off the diving board. He actually worried about it all week. Finally he jumped off using a water noodle to help keep himself up. Oh well. At least he passed right! Stephanie had told him all week that if he didn't jump off on his own, that she would push him off. Well when it came down to it she couldn't push him. Instead he got to use a noodle.

I feel more calm taking the kids to the pool knowing they can swim. I'm so proud of them for being so brave!
