Savior of the World

For the last 6 weeks Bailey and I have been working really hard for our stakes play called Savior of the World. Our practices for the first four weeks were on Saturdays from 9-12. Then for the last two weeks we had practice on Tuesday-Friday from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. It was an amazing experience for the two of us. This was the first time Bailey and I have ever been in a play of this magnitude. Bailey and I learned a lot and we will NEVER forget the feelings we felt and the amazing people we got to work with. There was always a sweet spirit there with the cast during our practices. We had lots of laughs and some moments when we couldn't hold back the tears. Savior of the World is a musical that depicts the life of our Savior. His birth, death, and Resurrection.

Bailey and I were angels in the play. We got to be up on the colonnade and we had a few parts where we got to be on stage. One of my favorite parts of the play was the Resurrection scene. Bailey and I were lucky enough to be a part of this scene. I'll try my best to describe this scene. I walk out on stage and Bailey is brought out to greet me. As I turn around I see Bailey and she runs to me. I bend down and pick her up and twirl her around. As I did this I couldn't help but tell her how much I have missed her. It was like the Resurrection was really happening. When everyone was off the stage, Bailey and I walk across the stage holding hands. As we are walking off the stage Bailey is looking out into the audience with a smile on her face. I can't describe the feelings I felt during this part of the play. It was a very special moment for Bailey and I. I'm so grateful I had the chance to experience this with her. I know that there will come a day when I will be able to hug all of the loved ones that have gone on before me. It will be a glorious day and one that I look forward to.

Getting ready for the shows. We had one show on Friday November 19th, and two on Saturday the 20th. One at 2:30 and one at 7:30. On Saturday Bay and I were at the BRC from 12:15-10:30 pm yeah that's over ten hours!!

Here is one of the young women in my ward that was with me during the entire play experience.

All dressed and makeup on. We had to wear our towns people costume under our angel costume. Let's just say we got pretty toasty up under the lights.
Deanna putting on her stage makeup
The stage. The colonnade was on the top of the houses. This is where the angels stood and sang. It was made to look like we were looking down on everyone from heaven.

Lizzie, Mariah and Bay.
Katrina came to see the play and brought Bailey and I some pretty flowers!
