Last night Elfie came to stay with us for the month of December. I started this tradition last year and the kids love it!! I found this elf at the DI last year. I brought him home and left him on the door step. I knocked and had the kids open the door. To their surprise they saw this elf sitting there. There was a note that explained how magical Santas elf is. Once you give the elf a name ( my kids chose Elfie) his magic powers come to life. Every night Elfie goes back to the North Pole to tell Santa how the kids have been that day. By morning he comes back and has hidden in a different place. The kids love to wake up in the morning and race to find him.
Deseret Book has their version of this and it's called Elf on a shelf. It comes with a book and a scary looking elf. It's 30 bucks!! I got our elf for .50 cents : )

You and the DI..... I hate you!!!!!! There is NOTHING you can't find there... things that never in a million years will I ever find there! LOL!!!! You are so creative it makes me a little sick!!! Seriously, how do you come up with so much cute stuff/ideas????????
